Sunday Recap
Recap:With revamped rosters, kicking off the 2024-25 season we had a 8am match up between Orange and Purple. Many thought this would be a battle for the bottom but Orange had something to say about that with an absolute dominating performance. Leading the charge was newcomer Stan Pierre Louis with 44 points! Sid Kennedy looked in midseason form as he ran the show at point, posting an easy double with points and assists. Is Purple that bad or is Orange legit? GM Ben "Stevens" Vitale standing on business saying Orange to the ship this year! They've already matched their wins from a season ago so it seems to be only up from here!
Recap:No Brothers or Gaffney for each respected squad but this match up still didn't disappoint. White seemed to have the game in the bag but a couple bad decisions left the door open for Yellow and they capitalized. Washburn blew one to many kisses and it was Rookie Taylor Carlson for Yellow who put the league on notice. With mulitple 3s and some dazzling finishes around the rim, the Wareham native created a match up nightmare for White. White did show they're not a one man army shooting lights out from 3 and showing why they are defending champions. Now, we can officially call this one a rivalry!
Recap:No Zach? No Luke ? a 250lb Tony? whats the answer? Rico MFin Torres! The known ref is actually a hooper and made his CML debut by letting everyone know he is a bucket. So much so, he had the blue team arguing about who's job it was to stop him! Green was short handed with 6 guys but showed midseason chemistry in game 1. Blue looks to have major chemistry issues and as predicted it seems like there is not enough ball to go around. Will see how it goes when Captain Kane returns, can he reel the team back to playing team basketball or will the egos prevail and this be a down season for Blue?
Recap:Red now captained by player/coach DFern and they look like a completely new team roster and chemistry wise! With some new pieces Tyler DeMeo, Mike Boen, EJ Bennett and Jowaun Gamble they showed Black this is not Wednesday's at Plymouth South MS. These dudes can hoop and will be competitive every game moving forward. Newcomer Isaiah Furtado did show some promise for Black, even though there are some questions about his age? AP is a hooper and had a solid game as well. But for Black to be competitive moving forward they will need a full roster. Red read loud and clear, don't sleep on these dudes!
