Sunday Recap
Recap:Black kept it surprisingly close in the first half as Pete and AP shot the lights out, but it was only a matter of time before Rico and the rest of Green got going. Down the stretch Black just couldn't keep it together and started jacking up poor shots and Green took advantage. Nice to see Zach back in the stat sheet with 18 for Green. Rico had his 31 for Green and AP had 24 for Black.
Recap:The first 2 minutes of the game it looked like maybe, just maybe, Purple was going to compete. They did not. White had all players score double digits and their lowest had more points than Purple's highest. Perhaps the lone bright spot for Purple was Tevin Silva in garbage time -- they should get him the ball more. Garrett and Mike Curtin scored 10 for Purple, Kyle had 17 for White.
Recap:This was probably the most exciting game of the morning despite each team missing big contributors in Mike, Tony and Tyler. It was back and forth all game; timely buckets from each squad, big shots hit and lots of talk between the squads. Yellow started the game with some fire, buoyed by rookie guard Maul and a finally awakened Marcus Grant. Red kept their composure despite Yellow's shooting and EJ once again was a bucket. The game stayed tight all 4 quarters and eventually went into overtime. If it wasn’t for a, let’s say, unusual call by Pat to pretty much ice the game, Yellow n red would have gone to another OT. Taylor had 25 in the loss and EJ and Darien had 22 and 19, respectively for Red.
Recap:Good teams win games where they don't shoot well and Orange was able to pull of the W despite not shooting the lights out. They used their speed to their advantage out ran Blue and Stan feasted with a lot of solid passes from Sydney penetrating. Blue definitely had the size advantage, but they struggled mightily from the line with Charlie "Shaq" Large going 1/8. Jarrett had 19 for Blue. Stan and Sydney had 23 and 20 for Orange.
