Sunday Recap
Recap:This game was interesting for 1 and half quarters. Black with only 5 players was making shots as yellow looked like they were still trying to adjust to having all of their pieces for the 1st time this season. It finally started clicking with 3 min left in the 1st half when yellow went on a nice run to end the half and set the stage for the rest of the game, which would end in a lopsided victory for yellow as many expected. Mike Dias ended with 24 to lead yellow and blacks Isaiah Furtado had 21 for black.
Recap:Not sure whats the bigger story here, Purple winning 2 in a row or Blue's absolutely imploding midway through the 1st Quarter. Angel seems fed up with certain teammates as he claims they don't know how to play basketball and is asking for a CMBL first ever midseason trade. Someone call Jarret to come regulate! LOL To be honest I think Purple might be the bigger story here(don't want to kick blue while they are down). Mike "Rondo" Downing(16pts, 8r,7a, 4 st) has settled in with his new teammates and has captained the ship the last two weeks. Garrett was much more efficient and seems to be bought into the team. The only thing we can't figure out is why tf Rocky keeps leaving before gametime ?!?
Recap:This game was to determine the mid season championship and both teams seemed hyped. Tony Pires came out the gates in attack mode with 12 first Quarter points.Sayvon was virtually unstoppable when he got the ball in the low post (23 pts). Red would not go away easy and was getting scoring from all of their guys to keep this one interesting. EJ did leave late in the game with an apparent Calf? injury. These two might have given us a preview of the Championship if the 2nd half of the season is anything like the 1st. Do we have another CMBL rivalry in the making? If future matchups are anything like this one, I'd say so.
Recap:The final score of this one does not indicate how White really dominated. Orange was heard yelling during a timeout, how are they getting killed by a bunch of 40 year olds! White has proven they can play with anyone with or without star Darien Brothers. William Washburn and Kyle Wiggins led White with 21 and 20 but collectively White shot the lights out. If they continue to shoot like this with the addition of Darien, expect White to be lifting their own trophy come March. Stan had 21 for Orange and rumor has it teams are already in a bidding war for him come this offseason. (Midseason tampering and brides are forbidden and anyone found guilty of this will be suspended 4 games to start the 2025 season.)
